On-the-job Training & Mentoring

By combining on-the-job training and mentoring with formalised college learning, the apprentice programme equips apprentices with the necessary skills and qualifications to have a successful career in the water industry.

Through our apprenticeship programme, we recognise the potential of young talent and provide opportunities for their advancement into senior roles. We embrace diversity within our business, offering structured career development across various backgrounds and experiences. This ensures that our apprentices acquire the appropriate skills and expertise in relevant areas, setting them on a path to success.

Becoming an RSE Apprentice enables personal and professional growth within a dynamic and supportive team environment. If you are driven, eager to learn, and ready to embark on a fulfilling career journey, we invite you to seize the opportunity to be part of the RSE Apprentice Programme.

Graduate Apprenticeships

RSE Graduate Apprenticeships are the most advanced band of Scottish apprenticeships, offering work-based learning and study up to master’s degree level.

Graduate Apprenticeships are ideal if you’re looking to kick start your career by gaining full-time industry experience at the same time as working towards achieving your university degree.

To apply, you’ll need to be aged 16 or over and have the right to live and work in Scotland. Most Graduate Apprenticeships have entry requirements that are similar to undergraduate degrees, but RSE will take into consideration alternative paths of learning.

RSE currently offers four different Graduate Apprenticeship courses in the following disciplines:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Construction and the Built Environment
  • Design and Manufacture
  • Instrumentation, Measurement and Control

Please note: Applications open again from Feb 2025, but we would still love to hear from you and welcome your CV submission.
