RSE Sponsors Community Shinty Club

We are delighted to have granted a 3-year sponsorship agreement to Strathglass Shinty Club, a rural community club based in the small Highland village of Cannich.

The club was founded in 1879 and has become well established over the past 125 years, with local players forming a senior team, reserve team, women’s team, and a youth level team, which compete in their respective leagues with shinty clubs throughout Scotland.

RSE’s sponsorship funding hopes to provide a massive boost to a small community sports team and our workshop team has also fabricated a new set of shinty goals for the club’s use. As part of the sponsorship, we will additionally provide transport support by offering a RSE minibus for the club’s travel to away games.

We are absolutely thrilled to be entering into this sponsorship deal with RSE. The financial sponsorship, along with the use of the RSE minibus and the fabrication of new goals, is a real lifeline for the Club.

The Club has close links with RSE, who are a vital source of employment locally, and a number of our players work for or alongside RSE. Quality employment opportunities allowing young people to stay in the area are invaluable to the sustainability of a Club like Strathglass.

Securing the deal feels like Christmas has come early for the Club and it stands us in great stead for the start of the new season in 2023.

RSE is pleased to engage and invest in our local community through amateur sport, and we look forward to following the success of the Strathglass Shinty Club over the course of the sponsorship.
