In 2021, RSE strategically acquired Sheers and began the integration into the new Chemical Treatment Business Stream (WTC-4), effective from April 2024.

The integration promises enhanced efficiency and profitability through leveraging combined expertise and customer bases, in preparation for AMP8 and beyond. Specifically embedding specialist process skillsets including toxic gases, fluoridation, methanol, polyelectrolyte preparation, and metals removal will expand our offerings to drive growth in the water treatment sector. WTC-4 plans to lead in modular treatment technologies, notably in Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE), while further prioritising innovation and employee development.

By integrating Sheers into RSE, our primary aim is to enhance collaboration and efficiencies, while expanding capabilities in the modular water treatment and chemical dosing markets. Our objectives are clear: enhance innovation, increase market share, and foster a closer collaboration for shared learning.

We are thrilled about the integration of the Darlington team into RSE Water Technologies and we eagerly anticipate achieving new milestones together as we combine our specialist skills and expertise. Operating as an integral part of our business, the Darlington team will add to the design, build, and delivery of our UK portfolio of chemical treatment technologies and we are excited for the journey that lies ahead.

The move bolsters RSE’s market position in municipal and industrial water treatment, aiming for accelerated revenue and profitability growth. Integration brings an exciting phase of enhanced capabilities and groundbreaking solutions, and we warmly welcome Sheers into the RSE team.
